Forex reserves rise $172 million

The country’s foreign exchange reserves rose $171.9 million in the week ended May 3 to stand at $418.687 billion. A break-up of the reserves, comprising four components, shows that it is up mainly on the back of foreign currency assets increasing by $448.3 million. Gold, the second component of the reserves, down $281.6 million.
