The makers of Kalank have shared a song from the film, several weeks after it was released in theatres. Titled Rajvaadi Odhni, the song is picturised on actor Alia Bhatt.

Rajvaadi Odhni is a peppy dance song. Alia is seen in a grey and red lehenga and is wearing silver jewellery. Her hair is long and styled in loose curls. She appears to be chasing kites in a small Rajasthani town which is surrounded by snow-capped mountains for some reason.

The song reminds you of Aishwarya Rai in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’s Man Mohini. Alia is shown as a similarly peppy and happy girl who is loved by all. Watch it here:

Kalank was a box office failure and was driven out of movie theatres upon the release of Avengers: Endgame just 10 days later. It minted only Rs 66.03 cores in five days of its run at the domestic box office.

The period drama opened to a good start and became the highest opener of 2019, until it was beaten by Endgame. The subsequent days’ collections saw a big dip as compared to its Day one collection of Rs 21.60 crore. Besides being the biggest opener of the year, the film also became the highest opener for actors Alia and Varun Dhawan individually and together.

Kalank is a period drama set in pre-independence India. The film stars Alia, Varun, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. The movie also features Kunal Kemmu in a pivotal role. The film is Alia and Varun’s fourth collaboration after Student of the Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
