A double decker bus met with an accident in the early hours on Thursday. The incident took place at Vakola in Santacruz (East). There were no injuries caused due to the accident.
According to Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) spokesperson the accident occurred at 1.05 a.m. on the service road on Vakola Bridge. The bus had been pulled out of service due to a glitch and was travelling from Marol Depot to Kurla Depot.
"The bus crashed into the overhead gantry bar at the start of Vakola Bridge damaging the upper deck including three seats. There were no injuries. An internal inquiry into the incident has started," a BEST spokesperson said.
