The CW has become well known for its hot dads, but it looks like Nancy Drew's hot dad won't be played by Freddie Prinze Jr. anymore.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, that role has recently been recast. Scott Wolf will now pick up the hot dad mantle, and depending on your age and which teen heartthrob was your high school crush, this is either excellent or debilitating news. Wolf is best known to older millennials as Bailey Salinger, the alcoholic middle brother on Party of Five, though he also appeared on Everwood in the early 2000s. The choice to recast the role apparently came from the producers, who "wanted to go in a different direction," and the split was apparently amicable.
