5 workers killed in fire at Saree shop in Uruli Devachi

PUNE: In a tragic incident, five workers who were sleeping inside a wholesale saree shop in Uruli Devachi, died in early morning fire today.

Pune fire brigade officials said the incident took place around 4.30 am at Rajyog Saree Centre, a wholesale shop located on the Hadapsar-Saswad road. After getting information, the Fire Brigade officials rushed to the spot. Five fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire. Ten private water tankers were also called.
