Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The body of a Class-10 student who had gone for a walk four days back has been recovered. In fact the student’s body was found two days back but at that time it could not be identified and so the Awadhpuri police had buried it. The body was found beside railway track, while the cycle of the boy was found about 3 km from the site of incident.
However, on Tuesday evening the boy’s family members identified the body on the basis of the clothes. The family members became agitated and alleged that the body had been buried without making an attempt to identify it. The cops then assured that the body would be dug out.
Habibganj police said that Amit Sonkar, 15, son of Deepak Sonkar, was a resident of BDA Colony Awadhpuri. On May 5 he went for a ride on his bicycle at about 7 am. He did not return by afternoon. The family members then lodged a missing complaint at the police station.
Habibganj police station ASI Amar Singh said the mutilated body was found on May 6 near Ishwar Nagar. As the body could not be identified, the police buried it on Tuesday afternoon.
Child’s kin Radhe Sonkar said Amit’s bicycle was recovered near Habibganj Naka about 3 km from the site of incident. They alleged Amit could not go there without someone calling him and have expressed the apprehension of foul play.
Teenager dies in accidents
A teenager and a young man have died in two separate road accidents. The police have registered a case against the driver and seized the bus and truck involved in accident.
According to the Berasia police, 16-year-old teenager Nikita Rajput, daughter of Aman Singh, was a resident of village Meghra Kala. Yesterday she was going with her father to Berasia on a bike. Her father was riding the bike.
The bus coming from Shamshabad to Bhopal on Meghra Kala Jod hit the bike, which resulted in the death of the teenager. The condition of the father is serious. He is undergoing treatment at Hamidia Hospital.
