Fall River man on Most Wanted Fugitives list turns himself in

FALL RIVER — A 25-year-old local man who skipped a pretrial hearing in March on charges he robbed the Petro Plus & Food Market on South Main Street armed with a butcher knife surrendered to the authorities on Monday, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

Achraf Balzourt of Fall River turned himself in at the Fall River Justice Center on Monday, about one month after he was added to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Most Wanted Fugitives, the DA’s office said.

Balzourt faces a Superior Court indictment for the charge of armed and masked robbery connected to the Dec. 26, 2017, robbery of the Petro Plus & Food Market.
