Rich tributes were paid to soldiers, who laid down their lives during the World War II on 74th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. French Consul Adjointe Madam Khouira Drault and representatives of the French lower house from Puducherry were among those, who laid wreaths at the French War Memorial in Puducherry. Wednesday marks the 74-year anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day. It was the day, when the allied powers defeated German leader Adolf Hitler and his once invincible Nazi war machine.
