Trump welcomes the Red Sox to the White House

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed the 2018 World Series-winning Boston Red Sox baseball team to the White House on Thursday.

"Through every pitch, inning, game and series, the 2018 Red Sox never gave up and never back down," Trump said.

Red Sox outfielder J.D.

Martinez then presented Trump, a lifelong New York Yankees fan with a Boston Red Sox jersey.

The Red Sox beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning their fourth World Series in 15 years.
