Samsung also told an English daily that it is making manufacturing changes to the Galaxy Fold.
Samsung recently suspended all orders of its Galaxy Fold indefinitely. The once revolutionary foldable handset made waves for its innovative tech but is now plagued with reliability issues.

While the South Korean tech giant attempted to play down the Fold’s initial failure, it didn’t last long with the company ordering a recall on all Fold units, requesting Galaxy Fold teardowns be removed and halting consumer shipments.
Samsung recently sent a mail to all Galaxy Fold pre-order customers stating: "If we do not hear from you and we have not shipped by May 31st, your order will be cancelled automatically.” At the moment, only customers who have already ordered the $2000 handset and who've confirmed that they want to receive will be getting their hands on the Galaxy Fold.
According to a report by the Korean Herald, Samsung’s CEO Dong-jin Koh claims that the company has reviewed the issue regarding the Galaxy Fold’s failure and will reach a conclusion by tomorrow. On the subject of whether or not the Fold would make a comeback this month, Koh said, “we will not be too late”.
Samsung also told the Korean Herald that it is making manufacturing changes to the Galaxy Fold after testing the defective review samples. The company is reinforcing the hinge, reducing the gap between the bezel and improving the protective coating to prevent dust and other particles from finding their way onto the Fold's display.
And, while Samsung is in the process of fixing the Fold's defects, it does not have the luxury of time. US regulations require Samsung to ship the pre-ordered foldable handsets by the 31st of May or it may be forced to refund US pre-orders the $1980 for the handset.
