Royal Enfield is expected to begin contacting affected customers soon to replace the faulty components.

Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has issued a recall for around 7,000 units across the country due to a faulty brake calliper bolt.

While the component is expected to hold the brake hose and calliper in place, the failure of the unit has plagued the Bullet 350 and 350 ES as well as the Bullet 500 models which were manufactured between March 20 and April 30, 2019.

Royal Enfield is expected to begin contacting affected customers soon to replace the faulty components. The replacement of parts will be done free of cost for all customers who fall in the time bracket.

Royal Enfield has equipped the Bullet 500 with a 499cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine which makes 28 PS of maximum power and 41.3 Nm of peak torque. Its smaller alternatives are the Bullet 350 and 350 ES, both of which are powered by the same 346cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 20 PS of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque.

Both the bikes are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and come with a single-channel ABS unit as standard.
