Schedule of special summer classes revised due to heat

AMARAVATI: The municipal administration department revised the schedule for special summer classes for SSC students. Director of municipal administration K Kannababu asked municipal commissioners and head masters and mistresses of municipal high schools to conduct classes from 7.30am to 10am. The classes will be held till May 31. Earlier, they were scheduled till 12.30 pm.
The municipal teachers federation (MTF), however, reiterated its demand for cancellation of summer classes. MTF state president S Ramakrishna said while temperatures across the state are hovering around 44°C-47°C, asking teachers and students to attend special classes is an "autocratic move".
