Due to engineering works between Erode- Tiruchi Fort station, the following changes were made in pattern of train services originating and passing through Salem Railway Division on May 10 and 14.
A press release from the division said that Train No. 76836 Karur- Tiruchi MEMU Passenger and Train No. 76833 Tiruchi - Karur Passenger will be fully cancelled on May 14.
Train No. 56320 Coimbatore- Nagercoil Fast Passenger, that runs on Erode – Karur line, will be diverted to run through Erode – Salem - Namakkal - Karur skipping the stoppages at Pasur, Unjalur, Kodumudi and Pugalur on May 10 and 14. Other trains that are partially cancelled on May 10 and 14 include, Train No. 56712 Palakkad town- Tiruchi Passenger running between Erode and Tiruchi, Train No. 56825 Erode- Tirunelveli Junction Passenger running between Erode and Karur. Train No. 56841 Tiruchi to Erode Junction Passenger operating between Karur and Erode. Train No. 56110 Erode to Tiruchi Passenger running Karur to Tiruchchirappalli on May 14.
Trains regulated include, Train No. 56826 Tirunelveli to Erode Passenger will be regulated for 15 minutes at Pasur on May 10 and 14 while Train No. 56713 Tiruchi - Palakkad Town Fast Passenger will be regulated for 25 minutes at Pasur on May 14, the release added.
