The California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is pleased to announce that Rajan Vaidya, PharmD (Vay-d-ya) has joined the organization in the CPhA Center for Advocacy, the government affairs and public policy unit of the association. The Center for Advocacy is responsible for representing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and student pharmacists in advancing the interests of the profession and the patients they serve. Dr. Vaidya will lead activities related to the implementation and advancement of pharmacy practice within the State Capitol and before regulatory agencies.
Dr. Vaidya comes to CPhA after successfully completing an Executive Residency in Association Management and Leadership with the American Pharmacists Association Foundation. Previously, Dr. Vaidya completed his Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) with a certificate in healthcare management from Keck Graduate Institute School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Claremont, CA.
Within his professional degree program, Dr. Vaidya emphasized elective training in a number of healthcare policy and regulatory experiential opportunities, including completing a rotation with California State Senator, Jeff Stone (Riverside) and serving as a member of the governing Board of Trustees and Legislative Committee within CPhA.
Vaidya joins CPhA with experience in sterile compounding, pharmacist-delivered patient care services, pharmacy billing, and policy development.
Vaidya will begin with CPhA on August 1st.
