Suman Kumar joins The Westin Chennai Velachery as director of sales & marketing

In this role, Suman Kumar’s key tasks are to work towards positioning the property as a premium destination for business / leisure travellers while creating exceptional food & beverage and wellness experiences for the residents of Chennai. He will also be responsible for the smooth execution of the hotel business and marketing plan and meeting the revenue goals of the hotel.

Speaking about his new role, Kumar mentioned “Marriott International has always been a brand that I‘ve aspired to be associated with and The Westin Chennai Velachery is amongst the best hotels in Chennai. I am really excited to be part of the team here and look forward to a successful tenure.”

Kumar  brings with him over 17 years of diversified experience in hospitality, media and retail. Prior to this, he was associated with brands such as The Tata Group, Randstad, The Residency group of hotels and Accor Hotels, which was also his last assignment.
