Share market update: Realty shares fall; Sobha slumps over 4%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Sobha (down 4.69 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.79 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 2.44 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (down 2.33 per cent) were trading with losses.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers (down 1.27 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.19 per cent), Phoenix Mills (down 1.06 per cent) and DLF (down 1.00 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.60 per cent down at 251.65 around 10:19 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 87.20 points at 11,410.70 while the BSE Sensex was down 282.84 points at 37,993.79.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 8 were trading in the green, while 42 were in the red.

Shares of PC Jeweller, Suzlon Energy, ICICI Bank, YES Bank, DHFL, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, Federal Bank and ZEEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
