TN Class 11 board exam results declared: 95% students cleared the exams

CHENNAI: The overall pass percentage in Class XI state board exams in Tamil Nadu increased by 3.7% this year as 95% of students who appeared for the board exams passed.

As usual, the girls outperformed boys with 96.5% while 93.3% of boys cleared the exam.


As many as 2,634 schools achieved 100% results.

This year western districts have got top three places with high pass percentage. Erode district topped list with 98% pass, followed by Tirupur and Coimbatore districts with 97.9% and 97.6% respectively.

The directorate of government examinations sent the results via SMS to over 8 lakh candidates who wrote the exam.

www.dge2.tn.nic.in


The students can download their mark statements through their schools from the website from May 14.


Students can apply for retotalling and revaluation on May 10, 11 and 13. Students, who apply for copy of answer sheets, can alone apply for revaluation.


They have to pay Rs 275 to get the copy of the answer script. For retotalling, they have to pay Rs 305 for language and Rs 205 for each subject.


Students who are not cleared the exam can carry their arrears to class XII. They can also write arrear exam from June 14 to 21, 2019.
