It was a major embarrassment for actor Anupam Kher when he was confronted by a shopkeeper in Chandigarh. Campaigning door-to-door for his wife Kirron Kher, the actor walked out of the shop when the shopkeeper sought a reply over BJP’s poll promises which the saffron party had made in its 2014 manifesto. Kirron Kher is representing Chandigarh in Lok Sabha and the party has fielded her against former union railway minister and Congress leader Pawan Kumar Bansal in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
