TN Plus One result 2019 announced @dge1.tn.nic.in; Erode district tops the chart with 98% pass

NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TN DGE) is all set to announce the TN Plus One (Class 11) or HSE (+1) results on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
The TN Plus One results has been announced today at 9.30 am on the TN DGE official websites - tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in and dge2.tn.nic.in.
It may be noted that the candidates would only able to download their mark sheets from May 14 onward through their school's website.
This year, for the TN Plus One examinations around 9 lakhs students had registered. The examinations were held from February 13, 2019 to February 22, 2019.

• 95% cleared class 11 exams in TN
• Girls registered 96.5% pass while 93.3% boys cleared it
• Computer science has maximum pass percentage among subjects with 98.2% clearing the exam
• Among science stream students the pass percentage is 93.9%, commerce students got 97.4%
• Vocational stream students registered lowest with 92.3% clearing the exam
• Erode district tops the chart with 98% pass
• Compared to last year the pass percentage increases by 3.7%
In 2018, the HSE (+1) results were declared on May 30. Last year the overall pass percentage stood at 91 percent. Around 8.6 lakh students had participated in the Puls One examinations last year. In 2018, 94.6% of girls passed in the class 11 examination, while 87.4% of boys cleared.
Out of a total 8,63,668 candidates who registered for their plus one exam, 8,47,648 were from the regular schools.
As per Tamil Nadu's no detention policy, the Class 11 students will be promoted to Class 12th and later the student can clear the paper by taking the exam in class 12th.

Students can also submit an application for retotalling and revaluation of their answer sheets on May 10, 11 and 13. It is to be noted that the students who are applying for a copy of their answer sheets can alone apply for revaluation. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 275 to obtain a copy of the answer sheet. The cost for retotalling is Rs 305 for language and Rs 205 for each subject.
Last year, only 3.4% students could manage to score above 500 marks (roughly 82%) out of 600 marks.
Of 5,22,352 science group, students appeared in plus 1 exams, only 18,092 students alone able to score above 500 marks.
