A 55-year-old woman with cancer has been found safe and well after spending more than 30 hours alone in the bush. 

Hazel Douglas Henry went missing from the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, and was last seen walking towards Kings Park just before 5.30 on Tuesday morning. 

Search and rescue efforts were boosted on Wednesday as concerns for her safety grew.

The desperate search resumed early this morning with Ms Henry’s partner, her sister and SES volunteers leading the hunt through Kings Park.  

Volunteer Scott Campbell and a search dog Jackson found Ms Henry safe and well just before midday, The West Australian reported. 

Ms Henry had an emotional return to her friends and family this afternoon, before she was taken to hospital.
