Govt ‘soft’ on terror: BJP to guv

Thiruvananthapuram: A BJP delegation led by party state president P S Sreedharan Pillai and V Muraleedharan MP on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to governor P Sathasivam demanding an inquiry against the LDF government for its “soft approach towards terrorism and lapses in preventing terror acts in the state”.
The delegation urged the governor to seek an immediate explanation from the state government why it was not acting properly on complaints and reports related to terror activities in the state.
The memorandum pointed out that a report dated July 25, 2018, submitted by the Kasaragod district special branch, had provided information on human trafficking to Yemen. The report, which pointed out the central government’s restriction on travel by Indian nationals to Yemen, had confirmed that 10 people from Kasaragod had flown to Yemen.
