Gandhi also requested the apex court to drop contempt charges against him.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on May 8 once again tendered an 'unconditional apology' to the Supreme Court, saying that he had 'unintentionally and inadvertently' linked its Rafale case order to his 'chowkidar chor hai' remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Congress president had in an earlier affidavit had expressed 'regret' for wrongly attributing the remark to the apex court, but the latter asked him to offer a clear apology or face contempt proceedings.
After apologising, Gandhi requested the apex court to drop contempt charges against him.
Earlier, Gandhi had told the apex court that he would apologise through a fresh affidavit for wrongly attributing the 'chowkidar chor hai' jibe to it.
