MUMBAI: One person died and another injured after garbage heap on the hill fell on their house at Qureshi Nagar slum in Kurla East.
BMC officials stated that slum dwellers dumped their garbage and scrap material on hill since months that fell on the houses down the hill.
It caused collapse of slum's roof injuring 48-year-old Abdul Rashid Qureshi and 65-year-old woman Rahemadi. They were buried under the garbage and the took them to the hospital. Abdul was declared dead at the hospital.

BMC officials stated that its difficult to remove the illegally dumped garbage from the hill as the area is very congested and there is no space to move garbage vehicles.
