Puthiya Tamilagam founder K Krishnasamy
Madurai:
Moreover, some of his party workers were also assaulted by the AMMK cadre while they were attempting to prevent such acts, he told reporters on Tuesday ahead of campaigning for AIADMK candidate Mohan, who’s contesting from Ottapidaram Assembly constituency.
Citing such acts by the AMMK cadre were against law and violation of Election Commission’s model code of conduct, he said complaints against fifteen persons had been lodged for necessary action. The AIADMK-led front would achieve victory in elections held last month and the Puthiya Tamilagam would continue to extend support to the AIADMK in the ensuing bypolls to the four Assembly constituencies, including Ottapidaram, he said.
Further, Krishnasamy said he had so far covered around hundred villages in this constituency since May 1. Meanwhile, he denied media reports and said it was wrong that he had abruptly cancelled his campaign in Ottapidaram and left for Coimbatore. There’s no difference of opinion with the AIADMK , he added.
