The district with overall pass percentage of 98.03 in Plus One examinations tops in the State for which results were announced here on Wednesday.
Of the total 23,030 students who appeared for the examination, 22,577 cleared the exam. It includes boys pass percentage of 97.37 and girls - 98.62. The overall pass percentage has improved than the last year’s pass percentage of 97.28.
Of the total 219 schools from which students appeared for the exam, 115 secured centum results, including government schools – 36, matriculation – 55, self-finance – 19, aided – 3, and municipal – 2 schools. Pass percentage of schools in various categories include, government schools – 96.97, Adi Dravidar schools – 79.22, municipal schools – 94.28, aided schools – 97.69, self-finance – 99.34, and matriculation schools – 99.42.
NAMAKKAL
Namakkal has attained third position among government schools in State by scoring a pass percentage of 95.43. The overall pass percentage of Namakkal is 97.33.
A total of 20,121 students from 198 schools, including 9532 boys and 10,589 girls took class 11 examinations in the district. 19,583 students have passed the examinations in the district. In overall pass percentage, Namakkal has attained seventh position in the State. 85 schools have attained centum in the district this year. Last year, 63 schools attained centum pass percentage.
SALEM
In Salem, 36,770 students including 16,750 boys, 20,020 girls took the examinations here and 35, 074 passed the examinations attaining a pass percentage of 95.39.
The district has attained 18th position in overall pass percentage in State. It was at 20th position last year.
The pass percentage of government schools is 92.27. 114 schools in the district attained centum pass percentage in the district, including 14 government schools.
KRISHNAGIRI
The district registered 90.93% in the Plus One Examinations here. The gender-wise performance witnessed girls recording 93.29% and boys recording 88.34%
Krishnagiri registered 86.31% among government schools in the Plus One Examinations here. A total of 101 government schools appeared in the examinations.
DHARMAPURI
Dharmapuri registered 91.51% in the Plus One Examinations here. The gender-wise performance witnessed girls recording 92.75% and boys recording 90.19% in the Plus One exams.
The district registered 87.50% among government schools in the Plus One Examination. A total of 101 government schools appeared in the examinations.
