Pregnancy related deaths are rising across the nation and a new report says?

One of the main risk factors is being black.

The report?

Touches on disparities in care and childbirth between races.

Black women?

Along with native americans and alaskan natives?

Are three times more likely to die before?

During or after child birth.... and more than half of theses deaths are preventable.

Although the deaths are rare they've been on the rise for decades.

Doctors recommend women have a comprehensiv e heart risk evaluation twelve weeks after delivery.

But up to 40 percent of women don't return for that visit and being able to pay is one of the top reasons.
