Cash stolen from businessman’s car

Vadodara: Thieves stole nearly Rs three lakh cash from the car Super Bakery owner Prakash Ahuja from outside his office on Tuesday night.
Police said that Ahuja was in his office located on Ajwa Road when he asked his peon to put a bag containing daily cash collection and accounts documents in the car. Few minutes after the peon returned to the office, Ahuja left the office to go home. On reaching at his car, the businessman noticed that the window of the backseat was broken.
When Ahuja checked inside, the bag was missing. He asked around about the bag and if anyone had seen thieves breaking his car’s window, but he did not get any positive response. Later, his bakery’s supervisor lodged a complaint of theft at Bapod police station.
Police said that Ahuja has a driver, but on Tuesday he was on leave. “We have questioned the peon, other employees and people having their establishments around the bakery but none of them saw anyone suspicous,” said a police official.
