The incident took place on Saturday night in Bengaluru. Rahul Tripathi and another person, identified as Aditya, were going from Silk Board to Marathalli on a Royal Enfield motorcycle when they were stopped by policemen during checking. They got angry and started misbehaving with police personnel.
They were then taken to Bellandur police station where he threatened them with dire consequences and boasted of his father's connections. He hurled expletives at them and warned them that they would lose their jobs. In one the video clips, he alleged that he was beaten up by cops.
All this was recorded by the cops present in the police station.
When a policeman tried calling someone on phone, presumably to inform them about the incident, Tripathi snatched the phone and slapped him.
He was then booked and sent to jail.
