“The May 22nd event of Lenovo might see either Z6 or K6 Note (2019) break cover”
Lenovo launched a couple of Snapdragon 855-powered smartphones earlier, namely the Z5 Pro GT (first impressions) and Z6 Pro. The former also happened to be the first ever smartphone to come powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest. Now, the company seems to be moving ahead and gearing up to launch next model in its portfolio. Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng has taken to Weibo recently to announce that the company will launch a new smartphone this month.
The top executive revealed that the phone maker has an event lined up for May 22nd, without shedding light on which product it plans to launch. However, Cheng did confirm several times in the comment section that it will be a smartphone, without giving anything else away. Moreover, from the teaser image shared by the brand, it looks like the next smartphone will be a non-gaming device. Going by the recent speculations, this could be either the Lenovo Z6 or K6 Note (2019), which have been spotted on 3C and TENAA, respectively. Both these smartphones are speculated to be more pocket-friendly devices from the brand.
The K6 Note (2019) was spotted on the TENAA certification website with model number L38111. The certification listing of the smartphone revealed a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with waterdrop notch and full-HD+ screen resolution. Other features include 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, Android 9 Pie, 3,930mAh battery, 16-megapixel dual camera on rear and 8-megapixel selfie shooter. As for the Lenovo Z6, the 3C listing didn’t reveal much, except that the handset will support 18W charging. Unfortunately, that’s all there’s to know about the Lenovo Z6 at this point.
We will get to know more on May 22nd, when Lenovo finally unveils the smartphone. We bring you more updates as and when they emerge so stay tuned.
