Hellgate Jetboat Excursions kicks off this week\, hopes for better season this year

Today he actually did a run through of one of the tours.

Travis hamlyn the weather's been great.

We've had a ton of people go down and have an amazing time.

You know we've got clear skies, warm sun, it's the perfect boating weather.

This year is a special for the company because it's their 60th anniversary.

And hopes this year will be better than last year.

Travis hamlyn you know last year was really challenging, it was like the trifecta of challenges basically.

The company dealt with smoke like you can see in this video.

Wildfires along the river.

And low water levels.

This year the water levels are better.

Travis hamlyn you know we've had good water levels, good snow pack and we keep track of that pretty closely.

I asked hamlyn what the plan for this year's fire season is.

Travis hamlyn what we are focusing on this year is really running the operation as best as we can and we hope that the locals will take advantage of this may weather.

He says when it comes to the smoke and fires it's completely out of their hands.

For now the workers are enjoying the beautiful weather they have been blessed with for the beginning of the season.
