Realme X and Realme X Lite are scheduled to go official at an event in China on May 15th. Both the smartphones with model numbers RMX1901 and RMX1851 were recently spotted on the Chinese regulatory body TENAA. While the former belongs to Realme X, the latter’s model number corresponds to the recently launched Realme 3 Pro. Now, ahead of the launch, the TENAA listing of both the phones is updated to reveal more details. According to the listing, the Realme X is expected to pack a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and dual rear camera setup.
Furthermore, the handset is said to sport a 16MP pop-up selfie shooter and a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 5MP secondary shooter for portrait shots. The listing reiterates the 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer. While it doesn’t mention the chipset details, it is rumoured to pack the latest Snapdragon 730 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for the base variant.
The Realme X is said to come in three variants – 6GB+ 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB storage options. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 skin on top and packs an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security. The handset is said to be available in Black-Blue and White colour options. Rumours also suggest the Realme X could start at RMB 1,599 (~Rs 16,476) for the base model and go up to RMB 1,999 (~Rs 20,000) for the top variant. The Realme X is also confirmed to launch in India soon after the China debut.
On the other hand, Realme 3 Pro is rumoured to be marketed as Realme X Lite/ Youth Edition in China, so, we already know the handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC, and sport a 6.3-inch full HD+ LCD display with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution. It will be offered in two variants – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB storage options. In terms of optics, the phone will have a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel primary Sony IMX519 (f/1.7) sensor, and a secondary 5-megapixel (f/2.4) shooter for depth-effect and LED flash. The front camera gets a 25-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.
