Veronica Is Totally Setting Hiram Up in This Riverdale Sneak Peek

There's something fishy going on in TV Guide's exclusive sneak peek at this week's Riverdale.

First of all, Archie (KJ Apa) has apparently decided to work out his issues with Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) in a boxing match, which sounds like a super smart and sound idea considering how well known Hiram is for his integrity and playing fair. Veronica (Camila Mendes) initially seems very concerned about the arrangement, until Hiram points out that she could make some money off the deal by running all the bets on the match through La Bonne Nuit.

Here's where it gets weird: Veronica's interest gets piqued when Hiram says she can use the money to repay the debt she owes him, but Veronica already knows that Hiram is the actual owner of her club and that money wouldn't be hers at all. That's why it's important to check out her face when Hiram leaves the room. That smirk has to mean Veronica and Archie are up to something, because there's no way Veronica would look that satisfied about her dad promising to beat the crap out of her ex-boyfriend. The question is, does Hiram have any inkling that he's being played?

Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
