PATNA: Five criminals, including the kingpin of an interstate gang, Sippu Kumar, were arrested from Vaishali on Tuesday. Sippu was allegedly involved in the loot of Rs45 lakh from Allahabad Bank at Dhanarua in Patna rural recently.
Patna SSP Garima Malik said a police team led by City SP (East) Rajendra Kumar Bheel conducted raids and nabbed Sippu. Later, his four other accomplices were arrested from Patna and Vaishali districts. They were planning to loot gold worth Rs5 lakh from a Gaya-based trader.
Sippu had earlier tried to hoodwink the police by spreading rumours that he was dead. His associate Sujeet Kumar, who was also arrested, revealed that he was nabbed by Andhra Pradesh police in connection with a cash loot case there, but he was released on bail a few weeks ago. "Raids are on to nab other members of the gang," the SSP said.
Meanwhile, the SSP has set up a special police team to crack the case related to alleged sexual exploitation of a teenaged girl by the principal and other functionary of a private school at Paliganj in rural Patna. The girl was raped and subsequently her video was uploaded to a social networking site to exploit her.

The victim's parents met the SSP as the accused were influential persons of the area. The SSP later assigned the case to Paliganj SDPO Manoj Kumar and asked him to submit a detailed report on the incident.
A named FIR was lodged with the Paliganj police station against the principal, director and three teachers of the school. The police have, however, failed to make any arrest in the case so far. The police said the accused were absconding ever since a complaint was registered against them.
