Project Expo 2019, a
project exhibition by final year BE
students was held at
Gogte Institute of Technology (
GIT) here on Monday.
Over 800 students exhibited more than 200 projects in the expo which was inaugurated by industrialist Sachin Sabnis.
Projects like Nanotechnology-based water treatment process, a bloodless sugar level testing technique, IoT based smart home, a sensor-based gloves that will allow a mute person to communicate, a mobile app to help farmers test the quality of rice and an IoT-based attendance monitoring device were among those on display.
This apart, students presented a working model of a floating vehicle that collects waste in lakes. A specially designed vehicle to help those without lower limbs, many working models on innovative ideas in nanotechnology, green energy, agriculture, transportation, digitization, health, solar energy, water harvesting, traffic management and waste management were also displayed.
Sachin Sabnis said the GIT project expo was a perfect representation of new perspective of innovation and research. There is an urgent need to inspire young minds to take up research so that their innovative minds will come up with solutions for today’s problems, he added.
