NEW DELHI: One of Delhi's top criminals was shot at during an encounter with policemen from the special cell in outer Delhi's Rohini on Tuesday morning.
The criminal, Paramjeet Dalal, was rushed to a hospital where is recuperating, DCP (special cell) Sanjeev Yadav said.
The face off took place near the Helipad in Rohini's sector 37. The police had laid a trap after being tipped off about Dalal's movements. He was spotted and asked to surrender but he opened fire at the team.
Cops retaliated during which he was shot at in his thigh.
An FIR has been registered. "Dalal will be arrested upon discharge. He is out of danger," doctors told police.
