Actor Deepika Padukone made waves at the pink carpet of the MET Gala 2019 by taking on a Barbie avatar in a Zac Posen gown.
Actor Priyanka Chopra, on the other hand, went the whimsical route with American singer and husband Nick Jonas, in their first appearance as a married couple.
For the event with theme ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’, Priyanka wore a custom-made silver Dior gown, playing up the theme with with colourful ruffled feathers, a very high leg split, a matching cape along with her big hairstyle that included a crown on top.
She also had silver-frosted brows and lashes and a dark burgundy lip colour, styling her hair in voluminous back-combed waves. But it was her silver spiked crown which caught everyone’s attention in the accessory department. She completed her look with a pair of silver pumps, purple drop earrings and multi-layered pendants by Chopard. She was styled by Mimi Cuttrell.

Nick looked elegant in a white Dior Men tuxedo and glittering silver Christian Louboutin heeled shoes.
Deepika, who gained global recognition with XXX: Return of Xander Cage in 2017, stepped out in an all pink strapless gown at The Metropolitan Museum of Art here on Monday evening.
She opted for Zac Posen’s metallic pink lurex jacquard gown embellished with 3D printed pieces meant to resemble embroidery. She added drama to her look with a voluminous high ponytail adding a little sparkle with the bejewelled pink hair band, dramatic burgundy lips and purple eye make-up. She completed her look with a pair of diamond earrings and a statement cuff.
This is Deepika’s third outing at the event. She made her debut at the gala in 2017 in a simple white slip-dress by Tommy Hilfiger. Last year, the actress wore an elegant red Prabal Gurung gown with red heels.
For Priyanka and Nick, it was their first outing at the Met Gala as a married couple.
It was in 2017 at the Met Gala that the duo walked a red carpet together for the first time. They weren’t an official couple when they posed together that year, but the photographs sparked speculation that perhaps a romance was brewing between the two.
