“My father is a private bus driver who plies his vehicle on the stretch between Dubagga to Charbagh . he has scant regard for education but my mother Anita Yadav was determined to give me a good education,” said Satyam .
When he was enrolled in school, his mother clearly told the authorities that unless her son was given concession in fee, she could not afford his education.
“I dropped Class 10 last year after a severe attack which made it difficult for me to walk. I was getting treatment in KGMU. Once I was taken to Unani Hospital, I started improving tremendously,” he said.
He did not lose hope and contacted the school again in April for re admission.He was writhing in pain day and night but kept studying, knowing this was his only chance.
His drive paid off and he secured 89% aggregate with 98 in computer and 95 in social science. He aims to take up humanities stream and become a civil servant to build a great life for himself.
“My school manager promised to help me with books, copies and uniform in Classes 11 and 12. I am determined to repay their faith in me. When the result was declared, I just held my mother and both of us sobbed for half an hour,” he said.
