Transport update

All lanes now open on Punt Road after that earlier one-car smash.

There are delays inbound now though after a four-car pile-up at the roundabout on Diamond Creek Road in Greensborough. Police are on the scene at Greenhill Road. Allow extra time.

Odd spot

Bookies settle on a name

Our official royal birth blogger says bookies reckon James and Alexander have the best odds for Baby Sussex's name (but they also predicted the baby would be a girl).

Prince Harry has told the world's media "this little thing is absolutely to die for, I'm over the moon".

Our man at Windsor Nick Miller reports the Duchess of Sussex went into labour in the early hours of Monday morning, local time. The labour wasn't made public until early afternoon, even though the birth had already happened.

The child is seventh in line to the throne, and the first mixed-race baby in the senior ranks of the royals.
