Boaters rescued after vessel capsizes, sinks near Carnac Island
Two people whose boat capsized and sunk have been rescued from the water near an island off Fremantle.
Details are still limited, but police said one of the duo was unresponsive as they were pulled from the water.
The pair had been boating in water near Carnac Island on Tuesday morning when their boat capsized and sunk, leaving them treading water.
The emergency call was made about 10am and the two were rescued by water police.
A police spokesman said there was limited details of the incident at the moment but one of the two was unresponsive.
“We’re waiting for a condition update right now and waiting for further details to come in,” he said.
