According to reports, the hair is from a young Jewish girl was killed in Auschwitz concentration camp.

Girls at this camp were shaved before they were sent to the gas chambers.

The 78-year-old toy was believed to have been typically gifted to the children of rich German families and high-ranking Nazi officers.

The doll is currently on display at the Anatolian Toy Museum in Turkey.
