Inside Michael Kors’ special Mother’s Day celebrations

Every mother deserves to be celebrated on Mother’s Day, and the Michael Kors team in India had something similar in mind for the special occasion—the brand invited seven mother-daughter duos to a lavish brunch at By The Mekong, the Asian restaurant in St Regis, Mumbai, on Saturday, May 4. Post the meal, every mother walked out with a specially curated gift hamper that included a Michael Kors bag along with a handwritten note from her daughter.

Panoramic views of the city served a beautiful backdrop to the four course meal and gave the women an opportunity to catch up with each other. The guest list included celebrities, influencers and designers, including Alanna and Deanne Panday, Nishka Lulla Mehra and Neeta Lulla, Antara Motiwala Marwah and Bhavana Motiwala, Namrata and Nandini Purohit, Sanjana and Ina Arora, Tanya and Deepa Vohra, and Mitali Sagar of House of Misu with her mother. From the edamame shots that served as delectable starters to the entrée that featured water chestnuts and smoked asparagus, the plates served at the two-hour-long meal ensured that it ended on a high note.
