Kanpur: Assistant engineer Pankaj Srivastava, who had sustained critical injuries in a blast at Ordnance Factory Cawnpore (OFC) last month and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi, succumbed on Monday.
Another assistant engineer and an examiner were killed and several others had suffered critical injuries when a nitrogen gas cylinder attached to a field gun had exploded at the factory in Armapur area of the city on April 9.
SHO Armapur Ajit Kumar Verma said, “Assistant engineer Pankaj Srivastava died at a hospital in Safdarjung in New Delhi on Monday morning. We have come to know about his death from OFC officials.”

“Pankaj, a resident of Panki, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Sarvodaya Nagar in the city.
