''We need to save his life," says Pamela Anderson after visiting Julian Assange in London jail

ROUGH CUT.

NO REPORTER NARRATION.

Former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson visited Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in his London jail on Tuesday (May 7), and said she loved him and his life needed saving.

Anderson visited along with Wikileaks Editor in Chief Kristinn Hrafnsson.

It was Assange's first visit from anyone other than his lawyers since being held at the high-security Belmarsh Prison.

Assange is currently serving a 50-week prison sentence for skipping bail after fleeing to Ecuador's Embassy in London, where he remained for seven years.

The United States has requested the extradition of Assange, who was dragged from the embassy in London on April 11, and has charged him with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion, which carries a maximum penalty of five years.
