Deepika Padukone has a knack for standing out and her Met Gala 2019 look is a testimony to that. Keeping up with this year’s theme, “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, the actor arrived in a strapless pink gown by Zac Posen that instantly reminded us of a life-size Barbie. When it came to accessories, Padukone completed her dramatic look with a pair of diamond earrings and a statement cuff. Others spotted at the event were Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Isha Ambani and Natasha Poonawalla, among many others.

Dressed in her best interpretation of camp to celebrate the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, Deepika Padukone’s strapless pink number will win votes with anyone who has a soft spot for buttery shades of pink. The Zac Posen creation comprised of a fitted bodice that highlighted her decolletage, and a multi-tiered sculpted skirt which also featured delicate embellishment. To work the “more is more” aesthetic, Padukone styled her all-pink look with a voluminous high ponytail (amped up further with a bejewelled pink hair band), dramatic burgundy lips and equally striking purple eye makeup.
