Road rage: 2 arrested for chasing man with weapons

CHENNAI: Police arrested two men from Thirumangalam on Monday for chasing a man wielding machetes over an incident of road rage.
The duo were identified as Sathish, 20, and his friend Ashok, both from Thirumangalam.
Police said Praveen, 23, of Sivashakthi Nagar, Padi, who worked in a shopping mall near Anna Nagar, was on his way home on Saturday, when Sathish coming from the opposite direction hit his bike.
They immediately got into a fight and started exchanging blows. Sathish alerted his friends and a three-member gang arrived at the scene.
Soon, the gang surrounded Praveen wielding machetes. He abandoned his bike and began to run. The gang followed him. As he cried for help the Thirumangalam patrol police came to his rescue. Police nabbed Sathish and Ashok with the help of CCTV footage.
