Mercedes EQC Priced From £65,640 Or The Same As GLE In The UK, In Dealerships From July

One day after the production start of the EQC electric SUV and the release of pricing in Germany, Mercedes-Benz has announced UK prices.

The base EQC 400 4Matic Sport starts at £65,640 OTR, the equivalent of $85,700 at the current exchange rates. For those keeping track, that’s about the same as the base the GLE in 350d form.

There are four trim lines available in the UK: Sport, AMG Line, AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus. Two special editions will also be on offer: Edition 1 and Edition 1886.

Wonder what you get for £65,640? Entry-level EQC Sport models come fitted as standard with Multibeam LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, Mirror package, Keyless-Go Comfort package, Seat Comfort package, heated front seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen media display and instrument cluster, and 64-color ambient lighting. Standard safety kit includes Active Parking Assist with a reversing camera and Blind Spot Assist.

For just under two grand more, the AMG Line grade adds a sportier exterior courtesy of an AMG black panel radiator grille in a twin-blade design, 20-inch multi-spoke AMG alloy wheels, AMG front apron in a jet-wing design, and air inlets with trim parts in chrome and inserts in high-gloss black. Inside, the EQC AMG Line gains sports seats in leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim.

Moving on, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC AMG Line Premium starts at £72,280 ($94,300) and adds an electric sliding roof, Burmester surround sound system, Energizing package, MBUX Augmented Navigation, smartphone integration, and wireless charging.

Finally, the range-topping EQC AMG Line Premium Plus (from £74,530/$97,250) also throws in the MBUX Interior Assistant, head-up display, Parking package with 360-degree camera, and memory seats.

Regardless of the trim level, all EQC models feature the same all-electric powertrain consisting of an 80-kWh lithium-ion battery and two electric motors with a combined output of 408 PS (402 hp/300 kW) and 756 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque. The EQC has a WLTP-estimated driving range of 259 miles (417 km), can sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds, and has a top speed of 111 mph (180 km/h).

UK customers can already place an order for the Mercedes-Benz EQC, with the first deliveries expected in July.
