Juhi Paresh Kajaria of Jamnabai Narsee School in Juhu emerged as the joint all-India topper with 99.6 per cent marks in this year's ICSE exams, the results of which were announced on Tuesday. Fifteen students from Maharashtra were among the 34 students who bagged the second and third positions.
Kolkata's Dewang Kumar Agarwal and Bengaluru's Vibha Swaminathan got the top position in the ISC (Class 12) examination with 100 per cent marks. The second rank has been shared by 16 students, including one from Mumbai, with 99.75 percent, while the third rank was shared by 36 students with 99.50 per cent.
Mihika Samant, student of St. Gregorios High School in Chembur (Humanities student) secured second rank with 99.75 per cent, while Nimish Wadekar from science stream and Shreya Raj from commerce stream – both from Thane's Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School secured the all-India third rank.
From Maharashtra, 21,038 students appeared for Class 10 exam and their pass percentage of 99.85 is better from last year's 99.79.
The girls' pass percentage is 99.92 against boys' pass percentage of 99.80. The number of students who took ISC exam from the state was 2,737. The pass percentage is 99.27.
