Girls outshine Boys in Patiala; Ravneet tops in district

PATIALA: Ravneet Kaur, a student of Akal Academy Balbehra, made to the top rank in the district with 99.4 percent marks in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10 exam the results of which was announced on Monday afternoon.

She is a daughter of 40-year-old, Jaspal Singh. He was glad to know about his daughter's achievement while he was working in his agricultural fields.


Jaspal Singh, said "I was unable to control himself after he was informed about the results. I expected only that she would be passing the exam with a good score and decided that I would congratulate her after his work at the field was over. But then I learned that she had topped in the district.

Ravneet who scored 497 marks out of 500 in the class 10 board examinations said she wanted to be a doctor and would go for Medical studies.

Once again, the girls have outshined the boys, in Patiala in the CBSE examination results of class 10 and they have bagged top three positions.

“I am happy to learn about my results that I haven't guess. I used to do extra studies at home to prepare for the board exams and had never lost my confidence while appearing in the exams. I had worked hard but behind success are my teachers and parents who suppose at every step,." said Ravneet Kaur.


The school principal, Meera Verma, said that Ravneet had brought laurels to the school and she is hardworking student.


Yashvi and Bhavya are at 2nd and 3rd positions. Ravneet Kaur bagged first place while Yashvi of Akal Academy Balbehra and M Bhavya of Lady of Fatima Convent Secondary School stood at second and third positions in Patiala with 98.6 percent marks.


Meanwhile Jashanpreet Kaur, of the Akal Academy Reeth Kheri and Nikita Sharma of Lady Fatima scored 98.4 percent marks in the class X board examination. Akshita of Budha Dal Public School, Niyati Singla of Lady Fatima and Shreya Dembla of DAV Public school scored 98.2 percent each.
