These Celebrities Have Boycotted Or Have Been Banned From The Met Gala

Another year, another fabulous Met Gala aka the black-tie extravaganza held each May to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.

????It’s unofficially called “the party of the year” or “the Oscars of the East Coast” because of its star studded guest list, which is controlled by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.????And the New York Post reports there are a few celebrities who have been banned from the party because they’ve been caught blabbing or ragging on it.????Demi Lovato being one of them, she told Billboard she had quote “a terrible experience”, getting attitude from another celeb made the star want to drink!????She rushed out of the event and headed straight to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, still wearing quote “millions of dollars of diamonds.”????Tina Fey told David Letterman the party was a quote “jerk parade”, she was open about boycotting the event saying she will never go again.

????Celeb stylist Rachel Zoe apparently told the New York Times in 2007 people think she’s more influential than Wintour which seemingly led to the stylist getting uninvited.????Wintour also openly banned President Trump, saying on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' that Trump would never be invited back to the Gala.

????And the only person who has made it back to the Gala after being on Wintour’s blacklist: Gwyneth Paltrow.????After telling USA Today in 2013 she thought it was crowded and quote “so un-fun,” the actress made a triumphant return in 2017.??
