Share market update: Realty shares slip; Indiabulls Real Estate slumps 4%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (down 4.29 per cent), DLF (down 1.60 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.26 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (down 1.07 per cent) were trading lower.

Phoenix Mills (down 0.30 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 0.29 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 0.26 per cent) and Sobha (down 0.04 per cent) too were trading with losses.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.84 per cent down at 260.45 around 10:29 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 89.80 points at 11,622.45 while the BSE Sensex was down 295.59 points at 38,667.67.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, ONGC, SAIL, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Tata Steel, Motherson Sumi and Infosys were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
